Also on View: Patrizio Di Massimo
On the occasion of Contemporanea - the gallery weekend in Rome - from 10 to 12 May, T293 is pleased to reveal Patrizio di Massimo's new work 'Empty Blue Bed (For M.)' in our 'Also On View' room.
The artwork, evocative and enigmatic at the same time, insinuates itself into the fabric of human existence.
The artist has transformed an everyday object into a painting of vibrant emotions, an incursion into the labyrinth of feelings. The double bed, wrapped in a palette of intense and enveloping blue, becomes the stage on which the drama of absence and loneliness takes place. The disorganized pillows, abandoned in their disharmony, evoke the phantasmatic presence of those who are no longer present, suggesting a barely touched human presence, and leave behind a palpable yet ineffable void. The color, full of symbolic and metaphysical meanings, is transformed into a living and pulsating entity, permeating the work of a mysterious light.
For the event the gallery will be open on Friday and Saturday from 11.00 to 20.00, and on Sunday from 12.00 to 18.00.
