Angels. Cinquant’anni di storie del Pastificio Cerere

LocationFondazione Pasticio Cerere, Rome
Date October 2 - November 30, 2024
Twenty years after its birth, Fondazione Pastificio Cerere presents the group exhibition 'Angels. Fifty years of stories from Pastificio Cerere', in which it collects works of art, photos, videos and archive documents, to create a storytelling that portrays the former pasta factory of San Lorenzo as a lively place, characterized by sudden passages and long stays of famous or more hidden characters.

Among the 29 authors involved, belonging to very heterogeneous generations and backgrounds, Claire Fontaine shows the artwork 'Bump Key'.

The neon sculpture 'Bump Key' (2011) looks at first sight like a common neon that could be seen in the shop window of locksmiths and cobblers, but it reproduces faithfully the shape of a bump key. Bump keys can be used to open nearly any lock, just by sliding them into the key hole and tapping them with a tool, they are the keys that make all key useless and they are the incarnation of a threat to our privacy that Claire Fontaine here advertises in a luminous way.
